Our client, a well-established automotive electronics and vehicle security solutions company, is seeking a dynamic and commercially driven General Manager to lead their operations based in Durban.

This role is ideal for a strategic and hands-on leader with strong experience in business development, sales, and operational management within the automotive, electronics, or manufacturing sectors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth, expanding market presence locally and internationally, and ensuring operational excellence across the business.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and execute business development and sales strategies across domestic and export markets.

Grow and manage distributor networks, partnerships, and key client relationships.

Drive revenue growth through lead generation, customer acquisition, and retention initiatives.

Oversee and execute marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and product positioning.

Lead cross-functional projects from concept through to commercialisation.

Provide strategic direction on product development, pricing, and lifecycle management.

Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to align product design with market requirements.

Implement operational structures, systems, and processes to improve efficiency and scalability.

Develop and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics across the business.

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Safety Management Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) training and implementation within an industrial setting.

Key Requirements:

Matric Certificate (Grade 12).
Minimum of 3 years of experience specifically in HSE training.
Minimum of 5 years of overall industry experience.
Accredited as a Train the Trainer, with registration as an Assessor and Moderator. This must be evidenced by a Statement of Results from the ETDP (Education, Training and Development Practices).
Certification in SAMTRAC (Safety, Management and Risk Control).
National Diploma in Safety Management, or an equivalent qualification at NQF Level 7 or higher.
Certificates in ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 are advantageous.
Access to and reliable use of a personal vehicle.
Willingness to travel extensively as required for the role.
Fluent in English. Fluency in at least one additional official South African language is advantageous.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preference will be given to candidates from designated employment equity groups.
