Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 qualification
  • Computer literacy
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • 1 year of experience in a similar environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform administrative office duties for the Metering Installation Maintenance sub-section.
  • Provide first-line administrative advice to customers regarding meter installations.
  • Handle first-line queries related to existing meter installations and electrical installations.
  • Attend to queries from the public and other departments concerning existing connections, prepayment meters, tampering, tariffs, service connections, and disconnections.
  • Ensure consumer data, metering data, and property data are accurate on billing and vending systems.
  • Utilize the Business Process Management System to schedule job cards and correct metering data for prepayment, conventional, smart, and AMR meters.
  • Ensure all applications are completed according to governance standards.
