Job Posting: Financial Support Officer

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Financial Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in MS Office applications
  • 3 years of relevant experience, including supervisory responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide financial support to the accountant and other officials during the preparation of the annual budget, adjustment budgets, and other budget-related tasks throughout the year.
  • Assist in compiling the necessary documentation for the preparation of the OPEX (Operating Expenditure) and CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) budgets.
  • Assist in updating departmental financial reporting templates.
  • Attend meetings and workshops as required by senior management.
  • Ensure all completed work complies with governance requirements and legislative obligations.
  • Adhere to treasury and other financial institution accounting best practices.
  • Conduct movable assets verification processes according to established policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate the process for handling obsolete assets.
  • Provide customer service and adhere to Batho Pele principles.
  • Maintain professional interactions and ensure ethical dealings with all stakeholders.
  • Integrate new knowledge gained through formal learning opportunities and apply it to the execution of duties.
