Professional Nurse Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Professional Nurse to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with established standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Senior Certificate / Grade 12 plus a Basic qualification accredited by the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Diploma or Degree in General Nursing equivalent, qualifying for registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform clinical nursing practice within the scope defined by the health facility and nursing standards.
• Promote and ensure the quality of nursing care delivered, adhering strictly to professional scope and standards.
• Participate actively in implementing the National Core Standards and the Ideal Hospital Realization Framework.
• Communicate effectively with patients, supervisors, and other clinicians, including accurate report writing.
• Collaborate as a vital member of the multi-disciplinary team to achieve optimal patient care outcomes.
• Work cooperatively and amicably with individuals from diverse backgrounds (intellectual, cultural, racial, religious).
• Plan, organize, and manage both personal work and that of support personnel to ensure comprehensive nursing care.
• Display genuine concern for patients, actively promoting and advocating for proper treatment and care, embodying the principles of Batho Pele (People First).
• Effectively manage all resources allocated within the assigned unit.
