Job Overview

The Government Pensions Administration Agency (GPAA) is looking for a professional to lead risk management activities across the organization. The role involves developing risk policies, monitoring exposure, and providing guidance to different business units.

Key Responsibilities

Risk Analysis & Monitoring

  • Identify and assess risks affecting GPAA operations.
  • Maintain and update the risk register.
  • Implement risk awareness programs for staff.
  • Review and improve risk strategies to align with agency goals.
  • Track the effectiveness of the Risk Committee and risk champions.

Risk Compliance

  • Update the operational risk control matrix each quarter.
  • Produce quarterly risk compliance reports.
  • Compile and present the enterprise risk scorecard.
  • Conduct risk assessments to gauge current exposure.
  • Provide training on risk management tools and techniques.
  • Ensure adherence to risk policies and legislation.

Risk Management Services

  • Coordinate risk awareness campaigns across head office and regional offices.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors.
  • Develop mitigation plans to reduce identified risks.
  • Advise on risk‑related matters and support business units.

Administrative Support

  • Prepare materials for Risk Committee meetings.
  • Record minutes for the Operational Risk Management Committee.
  • Arrange meeting logistics for risk team members.
  • Draft reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide monthly risk rating updates.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants must hold a National Diploma or Degree in Risk Management or a related field with at least 360 credits. Three to five years of relevant experience, including 2 years in a supervisory or junior management role, is required. Alternatively, five years of experience in enterprise risk management is acceptable. Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with risk frameworks such as COSO and ISO 31000.

Minimum of five years in risk management, with at least two years in a supervisory capacity.
