Job description
Experience:
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant and recognized nursing experience after registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) in General Nursing.
Minimum Educational Qualification:
- A Basic R425 qualification, which is either a diploma or degree in nursing, or an equivalent qualification, plus registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. This requires an additional R254.
- OR
- A 4-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) degree, or an equivalent qualification, plus registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. This requires an additional R1497.
Duties:
- Coordinate and supervise the delivery of high-quality, holistic nursing care, adhering to established standards and within a professional and legal framework.
- Effectively and efficiently manage human, financial, and physical resources.
- Initiate, coordinate, implement, and participate in training, development, and research activities within the General wards and the Nursing Component.
- Provide a support service to the Nursing Service and the institution.
- Maintain professional growth, uphold ethical standards, and engage in self-development.
