Experience
- Grade 1: None
- Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years of appropriate and recognizable experience in nursing, registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse in General Nursing.
- Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years of appropriate and recognizable experience in nursing, registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse in General Nursing.
Minimum Educational Qualification
- Basic qualification: A diploma or degree in nursing, or an equivalent qualification, registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. This requires a registration fee of R425.
- Alternative Basic qualification: A 4-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, or an equivalent qualification, registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. This requires a registration fee of R174.
Duties
External interface management involves planning, coordinating, and implementing wellness initiatives and interventions, supported by internal stakeholders, to deliver community-oriented primary care. This includes managing intersectoral interfaces with strong organizational linkages and partnerships with external stakeholders, sectors, departments, NGOs, and community structures. Lead and coordinate scheduled wellness activities for men, women, adolescents, and youth, with a focus on the 1st 1000 Days initiative to build healthy communities. Coordinate wellness activities within specific communities, focusing on the Western Cape Wellness WoW! initiative to support an integrated approach in managing chronic conditions such as Diabetes, Hypertension, TB, HIV, and Mental Health. Coordinate and support the collection, collation, interpretation, and reporting of health data for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
